Following the success of Enterprise Ireland's UN Business Opportunities seminar last summer, and as part of our SME engagement programme with the United Nations, a Trade Mission to the UN in New York will take place on 10 - 11 May 2012. This will be a cross-sector trade mission and is relevant to companies who have already engaged with the UN as well as those wishing to sell into the UN. To explain the objectives of the Potential Exporters Division and how it will work, this 2 hour session will cover• The range of supports for companies new to exporting and with export ambitions. • Spell out the jobs and export outcomes the state is willing to support and the business case the supports are designed to address. • Introduce the learning tools and other interventions devised to help companies navigate the exporting journey. • Vicariously go on the exporting journey with a case study. • Encourage those interested in developing an exporting agenda to engage with Enterprise Ireland’s Export Support Unit.

Exploring Exporting is a series of two one-day workshops, focused on helping first-time exporting companies become export-ready. The Cork workshops will take place on 24 May & 12 June 2012, and topics include conducting market research, defining your export value-proposition, processes for exporting and the exportable offer. Business mentors are available to work with you to identify the issues you need to address to become export-ready.

Up to 10,000 international educators are expected to attend NAFSA 2012 which will take place in Houston, Texas.
